Summer

J. “Summer” Rogers has been in entertainment for over 25 years. Summer began dancing at the age of four at Severance School of Dance in her hometown of Clovis, California. In her youth, Summer performed on PBS Valley Public Television specials, at fairground entertainment venues, and in a weekly variety show at Chuck E. Cheese. By the time Summer was ten years old, she had joined Jefferson News Network, a local news show targeted at school-age children. Summer gained national attention for her interviews with high profile political figures, such as then President George Bush, Sr. and Vice President Dan Quayle.
Summer continued to expand on her dance and theatre skills, possessing a special love for choreography. By the age of 12, Summer's choreography could be seen performed by local cheer squads, dance teams, and at Severance School of Dance where she substitute taught for the more experienced instructors.
After graduating from Clovis High School as Valedictorian, Summer moved to San Diego where she obtained her B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Diego. Since her relocation to Southern California, Summer has continued to work as a free-lance performer in a variety of styles including hip-hop, classical jazz, street jazz, ballet, performance and rhythm tap, pop, Irish, partnering, break-dancing, parkour, cirque, stomp, and of course POLE!
Summer currently serves as Dance Director of the GRAViTATiONAL POLE Crew—San Diego’s Premier Pole Performance Team and can be found teaching Pole Choreography and Dance classes at Sumara Pole Fitness and Dance Center.
